With points ignition systems it is of vital importance that the condenser and contact breakers be in top condition. If your engine is running poorly, stalling, and hard to start it could be a problem related to these parts. The first way of checking is by the color of the ignition spark, if it tends to be more orange than blue, this is the first sign that it may be time to change the condenser and/or contact breaker.
